Kahaani director Sujoy Ghosh took to X on Sunday evening to share a list of his top 5 favorite films of the year, adding Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule, Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine As Light and Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in it along with Laapataa Ladies and Crew.

He wrote on X, “Trying to list my top five of the year -- in no particular order -- Pushpa 2, Crew, Laapataa Ladies, All We Imagine As Light and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.”

After a while, he made another tweet after some users criticized him for adding Pushpa 2 in the list. He responded, “Some of you appear disturbed by my choice of Pushpa 2. But I loved it ya. I thought it was fantastic. In fact, there's this other film called Raayan by Dhanush. That was kickass as well. See if you can.”

Sujoy last directed the thriller Jaane Jaan, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vijay Verma and Jaideep Ahlawat in pivotal roles. He was also reportedly set to direct Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming King, however, according to some new reports, the film will now be helmed by Pathaan director Siddharth Anand.
